The weekend is upon us and its only fair to start a new series. Let me introduce you to (drum roll please) "Respectable Sins: The Comms Edition". There was definitely inspiration behind this title - a book by Christian author, Jerry Bridges, titled "Respectable Sins". It's all about sins that we somehow think are less serious like anger, envy and pride, which often go unnoticed.
As a Christian, I tend to think this way, too. Jealousy and pride tend to rank lower than murder and rape - and even in our justice system, the latter carries heavier prison sentences than the former. In the Lord's eyes, these rank the same and can have a terrible impact on you and those around you.
Coming back to this series, the same applies in communication. We tend to think highly of public speaking, but there are a lot of under-the-radar actions that we feel are not serious and won't affect our professionalism. I hate to break it to you - you will feel the impact at some point.
